Sunday Service August 2, 2020
After studying the first six words of John 3:16 last week, we were poised to see the greatest example of God’s love. The next seven words show us the incomprehensible and unimaginable love of God through the sacrifice of his one and only Son. The giving nature of God never stops. He gave what was most valuable to Him for a world that largely disregarded or despised him. May we stop and consider the incredible, gracious, sacrificial, overwhelming love of God today and praise God from whom all blessings flow!
The Lord is My Shepherd
What does it mean for the Lord to be our Shepherd? According to David in Psalm 23, it means that we shall never be in want of anything. We will be made to slow down, quiet down, and sit down. Our souls will be restored and whole, like they were designed to be from the beginning. We shall not fear evil or death – no matter what we’re facing. Many of us know the Psalm… Let’s make sure we know the Shepherd.
